No. I dont think it could reach focus without a barlow lens, in which case you would limited to maybe some lunar photography... a normal star tracker or a computer driven Equatorial mount. Astrophotography is typically quite expensive.

Please try again later.It is not recommended because the StarSense Explorer LT 114AZ uses an Alt/Azm mount and not an Equatorial mount, which is required for long-exposure astrophotography. In addition, the mount does not have a tracking motor which is essential. You can, however, use a small handheld camera or smartphone camera to take photos by positioning the camera lens up to the telescope's eyepiece.
