It programs just like a door opener. You just have to hit the learn button. It does not physically connect to the motor. And it doesn't actually have to be mounted to the ceiling. It just has to be within 30 feet of the door sensor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.When the hub is installed, plugged into an electrical outlet and connected to wifi u hit the learn button on ur garage door motor. The motor button then flashes which indicates it found the hub. . The two then speak to each other but nothing is physically plugged into your motor. Hope that helps.
