I basically give mine 2-3 minutes. It seems to be perfect for anything I’ve ever cooked.

It heats up almost instantly.

I never preheat an air fryer just pop in and cook.

We never preheat, so that isn't an issue. Try it without warming it up first.

I warm my Air Fryer for at least 5 minutes and then set it for what they recommend. Have not had any problems.
