You can find some pretty short extension cords at a number of big box stores (even BestBuy has some). The hard part is making sure that it can handle the current that this UPS can draw, which from the manual appears to be 12 amps. Personally, I wouldn't be comfortable with anything that didn't have wire that was 12 gauge or lower (which is bigger), and 3-conductor; running this thing without a ground will void the warranty and be putting it at serious risk of damage. If you happened to have a 9-10 foot long power cord from a computer power supply (and it is rated for that current), you might just be able to substitute that one for the 6-foot one that came with the UPS, too, which would make for a cleaner setup. I think that some online places carry replacement cords for most PCs...
