“I copied a folder from my downloads to my documents on finder for Mac. The folder copied had the same folder name as another folder in documents section. This caused an overwrite. I checked trash, iCloud, Time Machine. Can BestBuy recover this please?”

No you can't recover files once you've overwritten them .. that is why you do backups... another way to save PRECIOUS files us to email them back to yourself ... that way the file is ALWAYS in your Inbox.. an alternative to backups is file/folder syncibg .. where you sync folders on your system drive to an external drive . Be it a high dapacity memory stick, 2TB SSD, 2,3,4 5 TB Passport drive ... i bought a 14TB drive from BestBuy .. all the stirage i will EVER Bmnee
