• I’ve had 2 generations of the gimbal and have never experienced my phone falling. The magnet is really strong and holds your phone great.

• I used a regular phone case with it. The gimbal comes with a clip for your phone that then magnets to the gimbal itself. So not directly on your bare phone. Magnet is also quite strong.
