It's an HDMI cable. If your sending device calls for HDMI... then an HDMI cord will work. This cord is like $5. Is it built like a Monster power cord, no. If your looking for hi end cables then buy more expensive cables. This will do what it's intended for 95% of the population. From your technical questions, u might fall into the 5%
