unless your pc/laptop has auto-detect video output you might not be able to project to your tv using this hdmi. on the other hand, your laptop/pc might have some shortcut keys to output to hdmi.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, It should work fine. I watch online movies using my laptop connect with an HDMI cable to my TV or my projector. It works fine. You might have an issue with screen size and resolution, but this is a temporary fix to be able to use your laptop with a damaged monitor. My laptop only has the newer USB connection but NO HDMI so I use an adaptor which allows me to connect an HDMI cable to my laptop. See image.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.For sure this cable works to connect your computer to the tv. I was using it to conect my desktop to a 4K Samsung TV without problems. Not sure if your laptop would just recognize the TV as the screen when you are booting and before getting to Windows or your OS. Check also the length you need to be sure you have enough cable length.
