The short answer is yes, this cable will hook up your computer and your TV. The the long answer is that the cable is only 3 feet long, so it may not reach your computer, especially if your TV is wall mounted. My suggestion would be to get a 6 foot cable. Better to have extra length than not enough.

If not and it is a desktop you can buy a video card that has a HDMI conection at best buy or any where and install this. Then you can use this cable. I do recommend you get a longer cable 6 ft. Or 10 ft. So you have a bit more slack. I needed only 3 ft. For a special hook up.
