“I need to center my tv in a 48 inch space. My studs are 6 and 10 inches from the center. If I mount the wall plate to the studs (off centered), can I mount the tv off centered on the wall bracket so the tv will then be centered in my allotted space?”

You can but the tv might lean to one side. You could put two 2×4 across the studs than center the bracket, I did that for a 70 in tv, studs were off center also.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. The mount goes into holes in the back of the TV which are set. But if you extend the TV out from the wall it can then be manuevered left or right (but this can’t be done in the fully retracted position due to the geometry of the arms.)
