You can but the tv might lean to one side. You could put two 2×4 across the studs than center the bracket, I did that for a 70 in tv, studs were off center also.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. The mount goes into holes in the back of the TV which are set. But if you extend the TV out from the wall it can then be manuevered left or right (but this can’t be done in the fully retracted position due to the geometry of the arms.)
