“Is this a solid long lasting mount? Price comparison with same type I.e. Rocket fish, has a pretty big gap in price and not sure why. I will be mounting a 55" samsung tv”

As long as you get it in the studs well. This is a great mount. I bought this for a 65” tv at first and loved how solid it was I bought a second for my 55” tv in the bedroom just because of that and how easy it was to install.
