“When the TV is flat against the wall how large is the gap between TV and wall?”

• There are about 7 1/2 inches between the wall surface and the TV rear, when flat.

• Gap is about 4", however, I'll have to return this item, though. The mounting bracket is not wide enough to accommodate centering on most walls, as the spacing of the wall studs must be perfect for it to work properly...no room for deviation. If you don't mind having the TV 12" away from the wall in order to have it centered it might work for you.
