Should be fine for this, have the dock for my work laptop (HP G5) running with this.

I have a laptop (Macbook Air) to my ROC monitor with this Dynex 6' Ultra HD HDMI cable - the color is great. No issues. it is economical and worth the money for high-quality connectivity. Go ahead and buy it!
