“I have a Dyson Ball multifloor vacuum (yellow). I have read where it says that you do not have to do anything to change it from carpets to hard floors, but on rugs, which is just like a carpet, it is very hard to pull or push. Am I doing something wrong”

Please try again later.I’ve found that on small little throw rugs this vacuum has too much force; with the brush on it just drags the rug, with the brush off it’s hard to push. Larger rugs, or anything with a backing that grips to the floor, don’t really give me this problem. It might help with your light throw rugs to, with the brushroll on, step on the edge of the rug and vacuum forward in one motion, instead of going back and forth, to keep it from dragging the rug.
