A:AnswerI contacted Best Buy but they don't know the diffrence between yellow and purple.
So I contacted Dyson and below is what they said
"the purple model from Best Buy will come with additional tools as well. The vacuum will come with the 2 standard tools like the yellow machine, however the purple vacuum will also come with the stiff bristle brush, mattress tool and the carbon fibre soft dusting brush.Besides the difference in attachments and color, the two machines will be exactly the same"
hope this helps everyone
A:AnswerMy wife has two long hair cats that never seem to stop shedding. After my last vacuum gave out because of that fact, a month or so went by before I could get this vacuum. Some parts of my carpet got pretty bad with cat hair, but the Dyson picked it up like it was nothing. I expect it will work as well with dog hair.
A:AnswerHi Inquirer. It's Vince with Dyson. The brush bar for the Dyson Multi-Floor is deactivated with a simple push of a button. I hope this info was helpful.
Best wishes,
Vince P.
A:AnswerNo you can't, not even with the extending hose, because the angle of the extension that can be mounted dos not allow you to do so... Quite upset about it
A:AnswerHello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Ball Multi Floor upright vacuum cleaner does not have any belts. The brush bar inside of the cleaner head is motor driven. I hope this helps!

A:AnswerHello Tania, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Slim Ball, which is Model 281289-01 is a smaller, more compact machine. The suction power on this upright is 200 air watts, the machine itself is just 15 lbs. and the bin size is 0.34 gallons. The Ball Multi Floor upright is a full size upright with 270 air watts of suction power. This model weighs just over 17 lbs. and the bin size is larger, at 0.55 gallons. Both machines will perform in the same manner, both having Dyson Ball technology. They will both offer a self-adjusting cleaner head to seal in suction across all flooring types and a brush bar that you can shut on/off.
Best wishes,
Kelly

A:AnswerYes, this vacuum does very well picking up cat hair from both carpet and wood flooring. As far as the crevice by the baseboard goes, if there is "dirt" left behind when running the vacuum parallel along the baseboard, I just run the vacuum perpendicular up against the baseboard and that almost always works. It seems most of what I empty out of the bagless bin is cat hair from our two cats.

A:AnswerYou will have the same problem on the Dyson you have with the Hoover windtunnel. works well on tile or short nap carpet--dreadful to use on longer, thicker carpet. Bought the Dyson and had to return. Still looking for a vacuum to handle my new carpet
A:AnswerYes it does collect around the roller. I find mine collects long hair mostly in the bathroom. I sweep it first with the roller turned off then go over it again with it on. This way most of the hair gets sucked up without grabbing onto the roller since it isn't rotating.
A:AnswerHi it's Vince with Dyson. Dyson's Ball Upright Vacuum is designed with a power cord that is stored effortlessly on the unit itself. This unit does not have a mechanized power cord storage. A:AnswerI only got to use it 2 times before it broke. Suction was good the first time. This is the same Dyson Ball Origin on website. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BUYING ANYTHING FROM BEST BUY TO ANYONE. 15 DAY RETURN POLICY IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! THE MANAGEMENT IS HORRIBLE AND RUDE.
A:AnswerHello Stef, this is Kelly with Dyson. The suction power on the Ball Multi Floor features 270 air watts of powerful suction power.
Best wishes,
Kelly
