Hello Denise, this is Kelly with Dyson. You can use the Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal on wood/bare floors, but if your flooring manufacturer does NOT recommend using a brush bar, you may wish to consider the Absolute model; this will include the soft roller head which was engineered specifically for use on bare floors.
