• Hello Tevis, this is Kelly with Dyson. The HP01 Pure Hot + Cool is not a connected machine. There is no WiFi capability to connect to the Dyson Link App, so you would not be able to control the machine with your smartphone. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

• it is not directly compatible with your phone but I purchased a the broadlink pro on Amazon which allows you to control the fan via IR just as the remote would. With this device, I can say "Alexa turn on the fan" and it will send the signal to the fan. Pretty cool addition that allows you to control an array of household appliances
