Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. In heat mode, the HP01 will use 1500 watts, so we do recommend plugging the machine in to its own outlet, where you do not have other high-powered appliances connected. You can set a target temperature on the unit, up to 99 degrees, and can also select from 10 airflow speeds. You may be able to heat a room in the home, or larger living space such as your living/family room, but with doors to the home it likely would not heat your entire space.
