Hi Adam, this is Kelly with Dyson. The filter in the Dyson HP01 Pure Hot + Cool has 4382 hours of life. If you were to run your machine 12 hours every day, your filter would last a year. Your machine will flash an "F" icon, when the filter needs to be replaced. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
