“In one of answers Dyson said to avoid furniture. Can't I place this on a wooden table? And, how close to a wall or corner can I place this and get the same quality results?”

It can be placed on a table or in a corner like I have it.

Your purifier fan is engineered to purify single rooms, so you should use it where you spend the majority of your time at home. When placing the machine, make sure there is at least a few feet of clearance on all sides so that the air can circulate effectively, as well as on a sturdy and secure surface or on the floor.
