- Answer Yes remove all plastic. Area on the handle is where it takes in fresh air. Make sure you always twist the handle apart and keep the vent holes clean to prevent overheating.

- Answer Hi Dave, this is Krystal with Dyson. Thank you for your interest in the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer. Dyson machines are built for use in the country in which they are purchased in. They are not multi-voltage. Dyson machines sold in the U.S. are compatible with 110-120v. A power converter would be needed to use outside the U.S. which is not recommended. - Answer Hi Marisa, this is Krystal with Dyson. They Dyson Supersonic along with all Dyson machines, are not multi-voltage. They are built for use in the country they were purchased in. - Answer Probably not if only for a minute. Overheating could result if the vents are blocked. Be careful not to hold your hand over them when using it.
