“Can this camera (CAM-LP1-N) be used for continuous monitoring, as opposed to intermittent reverse gear use only? ie: wire it with +12V from ignition wire, instead of reverse circuit power. Thanks.”

This camera can be wired to accessory or ignition for power, rather than the reverse lights if you are looking to view it on demand and not just when backing up.
