The monitor will go wherever there is a place to put a suction cup, but there will be a cable in your field of vision if you put it under your rear view mirror. The monitor is wireless for the video, but has to plug into a power source. I installed mine myself in about 30 minutes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Monitor mounts anywhere on windshield. No place to hardwire power source uses usb port to vehicles 12v power port.

Please try again later. The monitor mounts to your windshield with a suction cup, so you can stick it on the windshield under the mirror, but it will not mount to the mirror. As far as hard-wiring, the power cord plugs into the cigarette lighter. You can wire an accessory socket somewhere hidden under the dash, and run the wire behind the molding up the windshield pillar and under the edge of the headliner to come out behind the mirror, effectively hiding the power cord. Just make sure you get your polarity right!
