“How do you set this up from a router that already set up. My concern is I live in basement, and I connect to the home router where I live.”

It depends. If the existing router is an eero network you just need to go to the the eero app, go to the home page, click the blue plus button in the upper right, select Add/replace eero and then add an eero and follow the instructions. If the existing router is not an eero network, this beacon won't work by itself. An eero network needs an eero with an ethernet port as the head/gateway eero. This one will be hardwired into the internet/upstream router, create a wireless network and this beacon (or another eero) can connect to the gateway eero to extend the range.
