Can you just buy one and use it for one room? null

I was told you could use one as a router, but you are very limited in the ability to plug in accessories. You might want to try out a good router and save this for when you set up a whole house mesh.

You could, but it defeats the purpose. If you're dealing w/ one room, a traditional wireless router would be much more economical.
