“Where we live we can only receive the most basic internet. We can only have one iphone hooked to the internet at a time for us to stream a show from YouTube tv, etc. We need to be able to all use internet/stream at the same time. Is this what we need?”

If your basic internet comes with 2.4 GHz and 5GHz, then you can divide phone and computers to each broadband connection. Phones would connect to 2.4GHz and computers could connect to the 5GHz. The 5GHz being the faster option. Normally, internet providers give you a modem with both 2.4GHz and 5GHz connections. That being said, I don’t think this is what you need. If you have a strong connection, all the connection bars are lighting up, then you don’t need this. If you have a weak connection, only one or two bars are lighting up, then you might need this. The eero extends your signal from your modem and gives great coverage at the speed that you are getting from your internet service.
