I have no problems with chipping that is why i picked the copper one on the advice from you tube, when you pour coffee or tea do not use a metal spoon in the cup.I have had the cup for a month now with no problems and no it does not feel ceramic. Wash by hand and completely dry it before putting it on charger.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well, it feels a bit different than the others but seems it will be durable. I like both types but the copper one does seem special.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is a coated stainless steel. Shows fine scratches on inside bottom surface but hasn't chipped yet and I doubt it will. Have used gentle cleaning tools. So I think the coating is soft I highly doubt it will chip as it is copper color tinted stainless steel under that.
