Yes it can be used in the basement. I use one in the basement and i can tell the air feels different in a good way.

I would say yes, depending on humidity. I recently got a humidifier the same week I got the Ionizer. The blades are charged, so damp, stagnant air might be a concern.

Unfortunately, no. The purifier can be used in every room and area EXCEPT the basement, where it is prohibited.

It's not bad for animals and the unit tells what elements are removed.
