On the touch menu located on the printer choose "setup" than swroll the menu to find "ink Levels" once chosen there will be an option to "Change cartridge" the printer will than move the cartridge tray into the changing position. Grab the printer on both sides at the indentation and lift to expose the printer cartridge tray. choose the ones that need replacing and replace them.

Included directions show that you simply lift the top assembly (not just the scanner cover) using indentations on front side corners. Removal is pulling up and towards the front of printer - will pop right out. Installing is the reverse, tilting down towards back, then pushing front of cartridge down until it clicks.
