Yes. Download fastphoto app from App Store.

The software that works with it is only for PC or Mac, not iOS

It will run it but with the full photo abilities. I needed to use my Mac.

I'm not sure about iPad but my mom had no trouble on her Mac. I'm not an apple user, and not really familiar with the OS but if the Mac and iPad are the same I wouldn't see you having trouble. When I connected to WiFi on my PC there was an option to select Mac for download.
