Is this waterproof? null

Hello. Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper is not considered "waterproof." However, it is fast drying and has a smudge and water-resistant surface. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.

Technically, all papers are waterproof/waterresistant. Historically, in a darkroom the prints went through several different "water" baths then were dried. It is the dye based inks used by 99% of the printers that are not waterproof as they smear on the paper if wet. Epson and others try to minimize that with special paper coatings and may refer to it as water resistant. The only inks that have water proof qualities are pigment based rather than water based dye inks but those are only available in 4 consumer (prosumer) level ($700 to $1400) printers and larger commercial printers.
