Hello Lisa. The RR-620W can be used without a computer. It supports computer-free scanning directly to email, cloud storage, or a USB flash drive. You can scan documents, save them as searchable PDF files using OCR, and assign a file name directly from the touchscreen. If you choose to scan to email or the cloud, a Wi-Fi connection is required. Scanning to a USB flash drive does not require a computer or internet connection. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
