“It looks like I download the app and I can look at anytime what is going on at my house, correct? If there is say a 30 second clip of activity that I would like to download and share, can I do that? I suppose I would need the SD card for that?”

Yes. I agree. Mine works that way. Yes, you can send your clips to someone else. There is a limited amount of Internal storage, but best to use an SD card (mini)... 128GB or more is best.

It can start recording based on motion, sound, ANY movement, human movement or even just set specific time you want it to record regardless if something is happening or not.
