I purchased 3 of these cameras for myself and 1 for my in-laws. They are excellent cameras for the price. I no longer wish to pay big corporations a monthly fee for the privilege of them getting a good look at my home and family's lives. There are no monthly fees here (unless you opt into the cloud storage option).
The only down side of owning a camera like this, if the perpetrator steals the camera, you lose the SD card with all the video footage on it. To fix this you can either purchase the home hub, purchase a NAS (if your savvy with computers/networks), or screw the device to the ceiling making it very difficult for the person to steal the camera.
Pros:
- Works great with Synology NAS (DS 920+)
- Instructions in the app are very clear
- Device has privacy mode that allows you to set the angle and rotation of the camera to look when enabled
- Privacy mode can be scheduled
- Push notifications are very fast
- Image is clear and the follow feature is mostly very effective
- Has the option to flip the image so you can screw it to the ceiling

- On complex networks, it took a couple of tries to get it to connect
- Follow/tracking moving person feature mostly works, but sometimes get stuck looking the wrong direction

- Make sure you are connecting only to 2.5GHz WiFi
- Micro SD card is inserted under camera (rotate lens up)
- To set a schedule, select "Security" tab in the app, then select your camera, then select "Schedule". Wasn't obvious to me at first
- If you connect this with a NAS you will wind up getting 2x notifications (one from Eufy and another from the NAS), so you'll probably want to disable notifications on one or the other

This camera is a good indoor camera, does the job great. The only flaw so far is that it says you can mount on the wall, but there’s no wall mount screw in the mounting bracket. Even the hand book shows it does but not on the actual thing. So if you not planning on wall mount it, it’s a great cam.

No problems so far. Works as intended. So many features, so customizable yet so simple to use. App is simple- i learned to use it in 2 min however, there is so much more this cam can do.Absolutely great cam for the price. I am very happy with it.

I have around 40 cameras of many brands and models. I have about 10 of this particular model. They are all working well in tracking moving things, good images, good manual control. Not so good at telling the difference between humans and pets but i have not worked on submitting images for training the AI software. Remote access and control have been working well using both Starlink from SpaceX on the east coast and fiber access on the west coast. The alerts have quite a bit of delay even when on the local wifi. This applies to all devices bu EUFY. Local storage without needing paid subscription it a definite plus. Locally processed AI without subscription is also important.

Great little camera for checking in on my fur babies. This is my third camera from eufy. Great pic and love the fact that I can rotate, tilt and turn on privacy mode and it automagically turns to the wall. Also got it for $49 which is a great price.

This camera easily syncs to your eufy app with a few steps. You are given the option to save video to a cloud storage or a SD card. The cloud requies a subscription and a SD card requies a one time purchase. You are able to record 24-7 or only notifications to SD card. You are able to review recorded video via the app or remove SD card. This camera also allows notifications. What separates this basic camera from google cameras is that you are able to adjust “interval times” in between event notifications.

Decent price, good video quality, own memory card, but the instructions weren’t so great. Watch a YouTube video so you can see it easily. I have 2, one by my kitchen and another in the living room. The one in the kitchen is mounted on the ceiling (you have the option to flip the video so it will be properly oriented). The one in the living room is on top of my air purifier. It will eventually be mounted as well.

Incredible value! Video quality is great! Can pan around 360° and even zoom in on the live video without losing quality. Would highly recommend! I included a picture of my fish tank taken with the camera to show the detail

This small camera is so easy to setup. I just needed to have a camera in a room upstairs and one downstairs so I could see the room. You can turn and tilt them to any angle in the app to see the room. When it detects motion it will follow you while recording. They do have to be plugged in so I had to sit them on a table or file cabinet.

The cameras themselves are OK. The motion detection mostly works. I've had a few issues where the camera can't decide whether it should be in night vision mode or not. There is a loud-ish audible click when the camera switches modes, and a couple times I've just heard a constant clicking once every 3-5 seconds. I opened the stream in the app, and could see it switching back and forth between modes. I had to move the camera angle to a part of the room where the light level was either a little darker or lighter so that it would settle on one.
The much bigger issue I've found is that it is not possible to wall mount these despite the manual stating you can. The wall mount is not provided and must be purchased separately. In the manual, they have an illustration of the camera attached to a wall mount. All available wall mounts work by screwing into the base with a 1/4" mounting screw, which you can even see in the manual's illustration, but this camera has no screw hole in the bottom or anywhere.
Someone at Eufy literally went through the trouble of drawing an illustration of this specific camera model mounted on a wall mount with a screw/thumbwheel attachment to the bottom of the camera, and included it as its own section on page 10 of the manual, all without anyone looking at the camera to verify that this was physically possible. I even peeled off the product label on the bottom to make sure it wasn't hidden. I truly don't understand how this happens.
I think I've seen some 3D-printed mounts on Etsy which allow you to use the ceiling mount included with this camera to mount the camera upside down on a bracket that attaches to the wall. I'll probably try that.
Another thing I didn't realize about this camera is that, even though it stores video directly on the SD card and can be used without a subscription to their service, it still streams the video through the cloud to get from the camera to your phone. I didn't realize this and would not have bought it if I had known. I'm going to try to set the camera up on its own network without internet access to see if it still works without it, but I wish there were a way to disable this.

This is a really nice camera with most of the same features as the other indoor cameras from Eufy. The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the night vision doesn’t stay on and you can’t power the camera on and off from the app. Night vision comes on and goes off every few seconds. There’s no control over that. I use it to monitor my 3d printer.

Not a bad camera. Kinda wanna try wyze now tho since these upload to cloud even if you dont want it to. My nanoleaf lights also mess with the motion tracking and it gets caught up in that 82% of the time. Auto nightmode sucks and no way to just turn on.

This camera is great because you don't need a professional instalation. You can do it yourself, nothing to it. Love that you can rotate it with your phone.Also the resolution is fantastic day time or night vision ❤️Love this product, all Eufy products ❣️
