No you do not have to have a Facebook Account to use the Facebook Portal, But it is best advice to do so. You can use WhatApp and Workplace to set it up, but you will lose some of the Facebook fetures and functions and not be able to use the Facebook voice commands like "Hey Portal" or Hey Facebook".
