A:AnswerYou'll need and antenna to view all your available local channels.
With the Recast and Fire Stick you can view a lot of streaming apps over the internet and wifi.
A:AnswerHello,
I would suggest going into the Fire TV app that was downloaded when setting up the recast. Follow these steps to get help from Amazon regarding your product:
Settings (bottom right of app on Android)
>Help & Feedback
>Fire TV Recast
>App Issues
>Other Issues
>Then you will be able to connect via email or phone so they can help.
Hope this helps. Have a good day!
A:AnswerI don't think so, as it seems to have to sync to the FireStick, When I have called for assistance, Amazon devices service seems to always have me go through the Firestick in all repairs.
A:AnswerThe unit is designed to work with OTA signals. So it wont be able to record any digital content from the web. But it will record an antenna signa for local channels. The Fire Stick interface will work with cable content providers signal through your modem and provide Netflix, Prime, and any other cable content you subscribe to but the Fire TV Recast can only record OTA.
A:AnswerNo, this is an over the air DVR. It will allow you to watch, record and play back live TV broadcasts from local stations picked up by an antenna. It will not play or record anything streamed over the internet or play back movies or shows from a network server.
A:AnswerYou can watch the content on any Amazon Fire TV device or a device with the FireTV App. However, you cannot transfer the content to another device.
A:AnswerHello, the Fire TV Recast needs a Fire compatible device to stream the content. Fire devices; Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Cube, Fire Edition TV and Fire tablet. Echo devices with a screen; Echo Show, Echo Show 8, and Echo Show 5. Also, the Fire app on compatible smart phone devices.
A:AnswerAbsolutely! I’m currently using my Recast with five FireTV edition televisions and two 4K FireTV sticks. The FireTV OS functions the same across the devices.
A:AnswerSee the link below to find what channels are available in your area. The channels broadcasted on are frequently different then the channel the station identifies with:
