It goes off every hour at 10 til; 1:50, 2:50, etc. When you look at the screen it'll have some cute little phrase like, "Will you take me for a walk?" "Time for a stroll." "____ steps to finish." Then, once you get up to walk around it'll buzz again once you have hit your goal of 250 steps.
