No... will it break if you swim with it on? Maybe. But it's possibly that it can last a quick dip. But officially Fitbit says this device is only splash proof with 1 meter of depth allowed only. So I wouldn't try swimming with it. Showering is not recommended but it was fine when I had my Charge HR so I'm betting it should be OK with this too but again, Fitbit says no to showering with this on either.

I asked a Fit bit seller and they said if you wear it in the shower and it gets ruined because it is not recommended to wear in the shower or swimming then the warranty will not cover the damages.

Not really an answer but more of an added on to the question.... It is marketed as waterproof, so why wouldn't you be able to go swimming? It says it maximum depth is 33.9 feet. Is this false advertising? It's the whole reason why I preordered it
