My Alta will alert me of phone calls, meeting reminders and text messages. It isn't very helpful though because it only shows partial messages.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The band will vibrate when you receive a call. Nothing will be displayed on the display. It will vibrate when you receive a text message and will scroll through the sender and the first few words of the text.

This has actually been a really nice feature as I really can't feel my phone when on silent and in my pocket and the vibrating notification on my wrist has really been helpful. Phone does have to be nearby the device within I thin about 10 feet or so as it has to be tethered.
