• I don't think you can respond from the device. I could be wrong, but it appears that it just notifies you and you can read the message.

• I would go to Fitbit's website (www.fitbit.com/setup) and check compatibility. I know that it does NOT list the Galaxy S7 as a compatible device - and I wasn't willing to take the chance so I went with a Samsung Gear Fit 2. Good luck on finding the right device for you!
