I wanted an Apple Watch for Christmas and the salesman at BestBuy encouraged my husband to purchase the FitBit 2 Charge as it would do everything the Apple would and is more attractive! I was upset that I "didn't get what I wanted" but quickly fell in love with the FitBit!

Yes, but the Apple Watch can do way more than this Fitbit. However, this Fitbit is good for someone that works out. It was designed to give fitness feedback, not to be a classy piece of electronics to compliment your other Apple electronics.

Not really, you can see who's calling and texting but you can't respond or answer calls through it. Also there are no apps, just functions.

Yes it is similar to Apple Watch with tracking fitness. You can get text messages on it, see who's calling (as long as your Bluetooth is linked and on) but you can't respond or answer a call.
