• The sides of mine are not warm but remember you should for best results let it set not running for 24 hours.

• Hello, Terry! It is normal for the external walls to be as much as 30°F warmer than the room temperature, while the compressor works to transfer heat from the inside of the freezer. You may locate this information on page 20 of the use and care guide. Thanks for stopping by! -Katrina
