“When I'm not using this product and it's already mounted in the car, Is there a way to take it down and stash it and then just pop it in once I get in the car again?”

The 1 I have has a suction cup mount. Takes 2 seconds to remove it. If you get 1 that has a stick on mount. The camera will just clip onto the mount so you can still easily remove it.
