Yes, this model includes the Voice Command feature that allows for voice activated searching of addresses, points of interest and places.

But the microphone is directional, and depending on where your unit is placed and the level of your voice, it often will work, but sometimes not respond, or interpret the request incorrectly. Don't buy the unit because it has this capability. Also note that the unit will not show traffic and offer suggestions about alternate routes unless you install an app on your smartphone, and connect the smartphone via bluetooth. Finally, you should keep the data updated, because there are frequent changes. Frankly, though my wife likes to use the Garmin, I find that either Google Maps or Waze offer more accuracy. But for those who want a simpler solution, the Garmin is generally okay.
