Unless your vehicle has some type of electrical interference it should work fine. Best way to tell is try it in a different vehicle at the same location and see if you are still within footage area. May vary 2 to 10 feet.

If your car was a window for the suction mount, or a dashboard for the friction pad, and a place to plug it in, you're good. FYI, I got this one to replace a Nuvi I had for over 15 years. This one is very nice and works great.
