• I am having this same issue. My brightness is turned all the way up but my screen is almost black. My GPS started doing this after a recent update. Any ideas?

• Click on Settings-->Display--> Increase the brightness

• If you can see the screen, there is a settings tab. Under this is where you'll find the brightness setting.
