Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I used a new mounting plate because I raised the microwave to 18 inches above the stove. The previous microwave was only 12 inches above the stove and the heat led to plastics parts eventually breaking off even though the microwave was still functional. The issue I found was not the mounting plate but aligning the upper holes in the upper cabinet.
