“My 1.5cubic feet over the range microwave went out and I'm found a 1.6 over the range microwave to replace it. Will it fit? Or do I have to replace with another 1.5 cubic foot microwave??”

It will fit the opening but the new mounting bracket will need to replace the old one and new holes drilled from the top. 30 minute job when I did it.
