If your microwave isn’t starting, several common issues could be the cause. First, check your home’s electrical panel to see if a fuse has blown or a circuit breaker has tripped—if so, replace the fuse or reset the breaker. A power surge could also be the culprit; unplug the oven for a minute, then plug it back in to reset it. Make sure the power cord is fully inserted into the wall outlet, as a loose plug can prevent the unit from operating. Lastly, ensure the oven door is completely closed and latched securely. -- If those tips don’t help, we recommend scheduling service online by visiting the GE Appliances website or by calling 833-4BODEWELL (833-426-3393) M-F 8AM-8PM ET, Sat-Sun: Closed.
