“I am replacing a hood that is vented through the ceiling. The wall behind the stove is brick with no cabinet. Would this microwave work for our situation? Thanks”

Yes comes with a converter plate for venting thru the cabinet above

When mounting an over the range microwave on a brick wall, the installation instructions for the unit should be followed. The only additional hardware needed are lead anchors for brick, and the size needed must be determined by the installer taking into account size, type, and thickness of wall.
